Dodge Performance Packages

HEMI 5.7, 6.4 392, and supercharged Hellcat builds for your Charger or Challenger, tuned on our in-house Dynojet dyno and quoted to your exact combo.

Your Dodge HEMI or Hellcat already came with plenty of attitude, but there is real power left on the table once you match the right parts to a proper tune. At APA Custom Shop in Queen Creek, we build Charger and Challenger platforms from mild street cars to serious forced-induction combos, and we back every build with in-house Dynojet dyno time so the numbers are real and the car drives right. Whether you are running a 5.7, a 6.4 392, or a factory-supercharged Hellcat, we plan the whole path with you instead of just throwing parts at it.

What APA Builds for the HEMI and Hellcat Platform

We work the full Gen III HEMI lineup found in the Charger and Challenger, from the 5.7 to the 6.4 392 to the supercharged 6.2 Hellcat. That means ECU tuning and Mopar ECU unlocking, cam packages, long-tube headers and full exhaust, supercharger and turbo installs, and complete engine builds and swaps when a stock short block is no longer enough for your goals.

Because we are an owner-run shop that also handles fabrication, suspension, brakes, alignments, and diagnostics under one roof, we can take a HEMI from a bolt-on street car to a dedicated track build without shipping it around town. Everything gets verified on the dyno and dialed in before it leaves.

  • ECU tuning with HP Tuners, including Mopar ECU unlocking for locked late-model PCMs
  • Cam packages sized to your heads, converter, and power goal
  • Long-tube headers, mid-pipes, and cat-back or custom exhaust
  • Supercharger and turbo installs, plus upgrades to factory Hellcat blowers
  • Engine builds and swaps with the supporting fuel and cooling to match
  • Custom fabrication, suspension, brakes, and alignments to put the power down

Stage It Right: Tuning, Bolt-Ons, Then Forced Induction

We think in stages instead of random parts. Most HEMI builds start with a tune, because even a stock car wakes up when the calibration is matched to your fuel and how you drive. From there we layer in bolt-ons like headers, an intake, and an exhaust, then a cam package when you want a bigger step, and finally forced induction or a supercharger upgrade for the big numbers.

The exact stage that fits you depends on your car, your goals, and your budget, so we do not publish one-size horsepower claims. Tell us how you drive and where you want to end up, and we will lay out a path that spends your money in the right order. Ask about current options for your year and engine when you call.

  • Stage one, a dyno tune matched to your fuel and current setup
  • Stage two, bolt-ons like long-tube headers, intake, and exhaust with a supporting tune
  • Stage three, a cam package and valvetrain for a bigger naturally aspirated step
  • Stage four, a supercharger or turbo, or a pulley and supporting mods on a Hellcat, built and tuned as a package

Why Tuning Matters, and Why We Do It on Our Own Dyno

A tune is the brain of the whole combination. Late-model Mopar PCMs ship locked from the factory, so before we can safely add power we unlock the ECU and calibrate it with HP Tuners. That lets us control fuel, timing, transmission behavior, and the safeties instead of hoping a generic file plays nice with your parts.

We tune on our in-house Dynojet so we can watch air-fuel ratio and knock in real time and prove the gains under load, not just guess on the street. If you are not local, we also offer remote tuning, though bigger and forced-induction builds are best finished on the dyno. Either way the goal is the same, real power that is safe, repeatable, and streetable.

Get Your Exact Dodge Build Quoted

No two HEMI builds are the same, so we quote your exact combination rather than selling a package off a shelf. Bring us your Charger or Challenger, tell us the goal, and we will spec the parts, the tune, and the supporting work it actually needs. We lean on trusted partners like Dynojet, HP Tuners, Texas Speed and Performance, and RideTech to build it right.

Questions

Dodge Performance Packages — FAQ

Does my late-model Dodge need the ECU unlocked before tuning?

Many late-model Mopar PCMs ship locked from the factory, which blocks custom tuning until the ECU is unlocked. We handle Mopar ECU unlocking and then calibrate with HP Tuners. Call us with your exact year and model and we will confirm what your car needs.

Can you tune or upgrade a Hellcat?

Yes. We tune factory-supercharged Hellcat Chargers and Challengers, and we can step up the blower with the right pulley and supporting upgrades. Because every Hellcat combo is different, we quote your exact build instead of promising a set number. Ask about current options when you call.

What is the best first upgrade for a 5.7 or 392?

For most street HEMIs, a proper dyno tune is the best first dollar, then bolt-ons like long-tube headers, an intake, and an exhaust with a supporting tune. From there a cam package is the usual next big step. We will build a plan that fits your goals and budget rather than guessing.

Do you offer remote tuning if I am not in Queen Creek?

We do. Remote tuning lets us support drivers outside the Phoenix area, and it works well for many bolt-on setups. For larger or forced-induction builds we recommend finishing on our in-house Dynojet so we can verify everything under load. Call (602) 762-4916 to see what fits your car.
